Pablo Picasso was one of the most original and creative artists of the 20th century. Spanish painter, sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist and theatre designer spent most of his adult life in France but was certainly proud of his Spanish roots. He’s known for co-founding the Cubist movement, the invention of constructed sculpture, co-inventor of the concept of collage and for the wide variety of styles he helped develop and explore. So, to learn how he worked and what he created, we attempted to recreate some of his more Avant-garde works. This process was achieved with acrylic paint, watercolor pens and some imagination. Although Pablo was original, he was a master at drawing and understood the use of color and lighting. In these adaptations, we are in no way getting close to the master’s work, but please enjoy what we have posted on our section named D-Cassos. (more than an homage, a true channeling) We are just trying to learn how he invented. To see our work, click here.
